“I have been dealing with Carolyn Anderson, Cabs, from “Hiphipsheband” for the past 4 years in organising entertainment for the Torquay Bowls Club. During this time she has negotiated with various entertainers on behalf of the Club and brought some varied acts from soloists to large bands, some well-known and others just starting their career. She is a hands on promoter not just booking bands but assisting in writing editorial for the media, poster design, stage assemble and decoration and manning the door, nothing is a problem for her. She is acutely aware of the needs and concerns of the various entertainers when negotiating with them verses the requirements and constraints of the Club and strikes a balanced outcome. Cabs has a real passion for this type of work and I believe she will be a major force in the entertainment industry in the years to come due to her balanced approach when dealing with artists and venues"

"Our show at Torquay Bowls Club on the final leg of our Australian tour, was one of the highlights of our year. Cabs at Hiphipshebang is an absolute pro and took great care of us. Good food, good booze, fine people to work with and an excellent venue. Thanks Cabs.. Perfect way to end our time on the road. Until next time... RBE"

I manage Joe Creighton and his show Into The Mystic the Music of Van Morrison. We recently played at the Torquay Bowls club which is run by Carolyn Anderson from Hiphipshebang.
We have nothing but praise and good things to say about how things were managed and run. Carolyn was a delight to work with and nothing was ever too much trouble. The sound was brilliant and the afternoon ran like a well-oiled machine.
It is people like Carolyn who are keeping live music alive and the packed venue was testament to all her hard work and the incredible following and support her business has. We can’t wait to go back!
I worked with Carolyn Anderson of hiphipshebang* in May when I brought my rock and roll play Sons of Sun down to Victoria from Sydney. Carolyn was the promoter of the show that we did at the Torquay Bowls Club.
She was very effective at liaising with the club to make the experience of working there an enjoyable experience for the cast and crew of our show. The sound production and the local promotion of the show were done to a high professional standard. Her handling of all aspects of the local promotion helped create a successful even We received much positive feedback from audience members after our performance.
I would happily recommend Carolyn to anybody who is considering working with her and her production team.
Carolyn Anderson and her team at hIphIpshebang* were a joy to work with.
The show went off very smoothly .We recieved every assistance to do a good performance. The sound technicians Moon Mother are amongst the best in the country.
The room was packed with an enthusiastic and friendly crowd. Happy to recommend their honest and thorough service.

Working with Cab's had enabled a growth in the events I have created because she takes care of all the logistics and I can concentrate on filling the room. She is professional, relaxed and has such a great sense of style when putting together food and creating a space to enjoy. I would highly recommend using her expertise and will continue to do so for all my events in the future..
“Carolyn was an enthusiastic leader in organizing the Danawa Harvest Festival 2012 event.
Cabs was instrumental in bringing together the team of volunteers to work on the project (my estimate is that we had 20+ people actively involved prior to the event), undertook the role of ensuring that the correct permits were applied for, acted as the teams ‘whipcracker’ ensuring that timelines were met and checking that key actions had been ticked off.
Cabs also was responsible for preparing and disseminating the press release, contacting stallholders, and of course assisting on the day! She also prepared lists for key volunteers to work to. Being the inaugural event it was reassuring to have her assistance and advice, as we were all on a steep learning curve.
The event was regarded as successful by a number of measures, and we hope to run it again next year, having learned much this time. I have no problem at all in recommending Cabs for future events, and would be happy to discuss her role further.
Thanks Carolyn and good luck!” April 24, 2012
